The law is a world with order, while the world is an existence with reason. A world without law is chaotic, and a world without reason is not existing. Today is Lunar July Seventh, Chinese Valentine's Day. On this very special traditional day, we would like to share with you a beautiful poem. It is a poem written and translated by two practicing lawyers. They are in their ages over fifty-- the “Heaven Mission Year” referred to in the Analects, common but still active. They were postgraduate classmates at Peking University Law School back in the 80s. Now they are working and living in different cities: one in Beijing, Northern China; the other in Chengdu, Southern China. They both have seen ups and downs in their own lives and in the life of others. They see and observe things in different surroundings. However, their feelings go toward the same direction: Have reason.

法律，是一个有秩序的世界；而世界，是一个有道理的存在。没有法律的世界是混乱的，没有道理的世界是不存在的。今天是农历七月初七，中国的情人节。 在这个特殊的传统日子里，我们想要与您分享一首唯美的诗。这首诗由两位律师撰写和翻译，他们已过《论语》中所说的“天命”之年，平凡却依然活跃。80年代，他们是北京大学法学院的研究生同学，而如今，他们却工作和生活在不同的城市：一个在中国的北方，北京；一个在中国的南方，成都。他们彼此都经历过人生的起伏，也都曾在别人的身上看到过生命的浮沉。他们在不同的环境中观察和发现。然而，他们的感悟却指向同一个方向：有道理。

所有的荣辱

有道理

我们的每一秒每一刻

有道理

对有对的道理

错有错的道理

美有美的道理

丑有丑的道理

它们是在最大的道理下的小道理

在最大的道理下

对就是对的

错就是错的

美就是美的

丑就是丑的

颠倒

并不是道理

人们只有在明月松风的陪伴下

在云飞云落的轮转中

以赤子之心

以最温柔的慈悲

才能感悟一点点最大的道理

它不仅仅写在一代人的心中

而存乎于天地之间

亘古而不灭

凿世而永生

Have Reason

All gatherings and separations;

All weal(s) and woes;

Have reason.

Our minutes and schedules of time;

Have reason;

Right has its reason;

Wrong has its reason;

Beauty has its reason;

Disgrace has its reason;

All these have their little reason under the greatest eternal reason.

Under the greatest reason;

Right is right;

Wrong is wrong;

Beauty is beautiful;

Disgrace is disgraceful.

Turning it upside down;

Is not a reason.

People could only in the company of moonlight and pine wind;

In the cycle of clouds flying up and down;

With their faithful hearts;

In their most tender forgiveness;

Feel a little of the greatest reason.

Such is not only written in the hearts of a generation of people;

But also exists in the Universe of Heaven and Earth;

Eternal and imperishable;

Living and permanent.
